Creating a story

C002 Group

You have to create a story from your experiment, use your imagination and creativity. The story has to have 180 words at least, 5 pictures from your experiment and an interesting plot. Part of the story must be invented and the rest of the story must be from the real experiment results and conclusions. Quote 2 bibliography sources to create your story and remember to add the names of the team members and the title of the experiments.
Try to use a fairy tail or novel from the library as a guideline to invent your own story. The best story will attain 10 extra points in the 3rd partial exam.

Good luck and do your best in this story!!!

  1. The year is 2020. A global pandemic has invaded the world. Scientist have unsuccessfully tried to find a cure, while millions die and the biggest and most advanced cities fall to the virus. Infection rates increase and hope is starting to vanish in the gloom of dead.

In the meantime, a group of Mexican scientists investigate a medicinal plant found in Africa. This plant was tested to cure many diseases.

Their investigation was going quite well, until a terrible notice was given to the entire community.

The virus had infected a janitor inside the research facility, and others had been in contact with them. Immediately the place was set in quarantine. The researchers were protected, because they had been isolated to perform tests with the plant and the test viruses. When these events occurred, the focus of their investigation had a radical change.

They wondered if the plant could cure the new disease, and started working on it. The first person infected, the janitor, agreed to be a test subject as it was a chance to save his life and million others.

Plant tested in humans, in the botanic field
Unexpectedly, the plant actually was effective against the virus, and the janitor’s symptoms were beginning to give up against the treatment.

A few days later, this disease was wiped out from the research facility. Other scientists and directors were amazed by the results, so tried to communicate the discovery to the entire world.

Occidental governments were excited about it, and lots of seeds were sent to cure people in these countries. However, something terrible happened. The plants died approximately at the fourth day.

A big question was in the Mexican researchers’ minds. Why? They decided to know why the plant grew in their conditions but not in America’s.
During 5 hard and long weeks, they investigated the cause of the plants’ dead. When they analyzed the substance they were watered with, the results took they breath away.

When they asked occidental countries what they were watering the plants with, they answered fertilizer. They were trying to use fertilizer to grow them faster, due to the demand of the population. In the Mexicans’ research, they discovered that this plant was terribly sensible to non-natural watering.

They advised the governments, and at the next day people was starting to cure and infection rates were decaying. In a few months, humanity was restored and healthy again.

Those Mexicans’ were rewarded because of their use of the scientific method, and efficiency to evaluate dependent (Height) and state independent (Substances) variables to find what really changed the research, and the future of mankind.
